Pinzu ("we") handles personal information relating to the SORYNO website, our blog, our plug-ins and distribution through BOOTH as described below.

There is no account registration and no mailing list. We hold names or email addresses in only three situations: when you write to us, when you leave a comment on the blog, and when you buy on this site. What follows describes what actually happens in each situation.

This website

The pages of this website carry no advertising. For analytics we use Google Analytics (see "Analytics (Google Analytics)" below).

Your browser stores your chosen display language (Japanese or English). That value stays inside your browser and is never transmitted anywhere, including to us. You can clear it from your browser settings.

This website and the blog are hosted on "ConoHa WING", a rental server service of GMO Internet, Inc. (Japan). As happens whenever you visit any website, your IP address and similar details reach that company's servers as the party you are connecting to, and are kept in the server's ordinary access logs. We never use those logs to identify visitors.

Our former address (pinzworks.github.io) is a notice page on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States) that forwards visitors to this site.

The blog (pinzu.tech/blog/)

The blog runs on WordPress.

• We count how many times each article is viewed. What is recorded is the article, the date, that day's view count and the IP address of the last visitor of that day (one address); this is a standard feature of the "Cocoon" theme we use. The record stays on our server and is never sent to outside parties. This count uses no cookies. We use it only to see which articles are read, never to identify visitors
• The blog loads some building blocks (programs such as jQuery) from external delivery services. As a result, your IP address and similar details also reach those services (see section 5 below). We do not receive them
• If you leave a comment, a name and an email address are required (a website URL is optional). Through the standard WordPress mechanism, your IP address and browser type are recorded together with the comment, to help us spot spam. Your email address is never published. A first comment is published only after we have checked it
• Only if you tick "Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment" is a cookie stored in your browser. If you leave it unticked, nothing is stored

Analytics (Google Analytics)

This website and the blog use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC (United States), so that we can see which pages are read, where visitors come from (search, social media and so on) and which links are clicked (for example, links to BOOTH), and improve the site and the articles accordingly.

• It uses cookies. Cookies whose names begin with "_ga" and "_ga_" are stored in your browser (both expire after two years). They let visits from the same browser be recognised
• What reaches Google includes the pages you view, the previous page (referrer), links you click, how far you scroll, your device and browser type, and your approximate region. We never send your name, email address or anything else that identifies you
• According to Google, Google Analytics (GA4) does not log or store IP addresses
• We do not use the advertising features of Google Analytics (such as Google signals)

• You can opt out. Block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on"

Update check in the plug-ins

When you open a SORYNO plug-in window, it checks once whether a newer version has been released. No sign-up is involved.

• What it fetches is a single small file hosted on GitHub (latest.json)
• The check sends no information about your computer or your plug-in. After the file arrives, the version comparison happens entirely on your own machine
• That file contains the entries for every product at once, so it does not reveal which product you are using either
• If you are offline, or the check fails, it ends silently and shows nothing
• For the same reason as above, your IP address reaches GitHub, Inc. (United States) as the party being connected to. We do not receive it

Note: this check can be switched off. Right-click the plug-in window and clear "Check for updates". It takes effect the next time the plug-in is opened (version 1.0.1 and later). From version 1.0.2 the menu also opens over knobs and graphs (in 1.0.1 it only responded on empty parts of the window).

When you write to us

If you contact us, we necessarily hold your email address and the content of your message. Apart from blog comments (see above), this is the only situation in which we learn your name or email address.

Our contact mailbox is a Google LLC (United States) service, so messages sent to and from it are stored on that company's servers. Our contact address is published, and it is your own decision to write to it.

Product distribution (BOOTH and this site)

Downloads and purchases are handled by BOOTH, operated by pixiv Inc. Information you register with BOOTH is controlled by pixiv Inc. and governed by their privacy policy. Payment details such as card numbers never reach us.

The free editions can also be downloaded directly from this site. No sign-up or email address is needed, and we receive no new personal information in order to provide the download. Like everything else on the site, downloads are covered by our analytics (Google Analytics).

We can view order information through the BOOTH seller dashboard. Paid (Pro) versions went on sale on 3 September 2026, so order records now exist. We see only the order information BOOTH shows us; it does not include card numbers or other payment details.

Paid (Pro) purchases on this site are handled by Lemon Squeezy (Sold through Link, LLC, United States) as merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and collects any tax. Card numbers and other payment details never reach us. Your card statement will show "LEMSQZY*".

When you buy, your name and email address reach us as part of the order record (we can see them in the Lemon Squeezy dashboard). We use them only for receipts, download instructions, replies to your enquiries and notices about defects. We do not send promotional email.

3. Purpose of use

An email address, name or message content received through an enquiry or a blog comment, the name and email address passed to us by the payment provider when you buy on this site, the view counts and IP addresses recorded on the blog, and the browsing records obtained through analytics, are used only for the following purposes.

• Replying to the enquiry you sent
• Investigating a defect you reported, and telling you the outcome
• Contacting customers who bought on this site (receipts, download instructions, notices about defects)
• Publishing comments on the blog and telling spam apart
• Understanding how often each blog article is viewed (to learn which articles are read)
• Understanding and improving how the website and the blog are used (analytics)
• Responding to requests for disclosure, correction or deletion

We use it for nothing else. We will never contact you for promotional purposes. Should the purpose change, we will notify the individuals concerned of the revised purpose.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your prior consent, except where permitted by law — for instance where required by statute, or where disclosure is necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and obtaining consent is difficult.

We never sell an email address as part of a list, nor lend it out for another company's promotions.

5. External services we rely on

We use the external services below. None of them is a service we use in order to hand over your name or other personal information. Apart from analytics, information reaches them because they are the party at the other end of the connection.

The United States is not among the foreign countries designated under Article 28(1) of the Act as having a personal information protection system equivalent to Japan's. Of the above, we provide no personal information to the providers that host or forward the website or deliver building blocks; information reaches them only as the party being connected to. What reaches our analytics provider (Google LLC) is browsing records and cookie identifiers; we never send it your name or other personal information. As for our contact mailbox (Google LLC), messages arrive because you chose to write to our published address. For purchases on this site, Lemon Squeezy (United States) acts as merchant of record and shares the order record (your name and email address) with us; its own privacy policy governs how it handles personal information.

Note: if we change any of these services, we will update this page.

6. Retention period

Enquiry messages are deleted roughly one year after the exchange ends. Where a defect report is needed for later fixes, we may keep a record of it with anything identifying the individual removed.

Google Analytics data is kept on Google's servers for 14 months (our setting). Blog comments are kept for as long as they are published. The blog's view-count records (including IP addresses) are kept on our server so that we can understand how often each article is viewed.

If you would like your message or comment deleted, just ask at the contact point below. No explanation is required.

7. Security measures

• Only one person — the proprietor — handles personal information, and access is limited accordingly
• We operate no mechanism whose purpose is to collect personal information, such as account registration or a mailing list
• The mailbox is accessed with a hard-to-guess password and two-factor authentication
• We do not copy enquiry contents onto working machines for storage
• All communication with external services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS)
• Personal information that is no longer needed is deleted promptly

8. Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion or suspension of use

You may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision of the retained personal data we hold about you.

Please contact us by email at the address below. After confirming your identity we will respond without delay. No fee is charged.

If we cannot fulfil all or part of a request, we will tell you and explain why.

Comments and complaints about how we handle personal information are received at the same address.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy in response to changes in law or in our practices. Any change takes effect when posted on this page.
