Pinzu ("we") handles personal information relating to the SORYNO website, our plug-ins and distribution through BOOTH as described below.

We operate no mechanism at all for collecting personal information. There is no sign-up form, no account registration and no mailing list. What follows describes what actually happens in each situation.

This website

This site contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party measurement scripts whatsoever. It does not use cookies.

Your browser stores only your chosen display language (Japanese or English). That value stays inside your browser and is never transmitted anywhere, including to us. You can clear it from your browser settings.

The site is, however, published through GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States). As happens whenever you visit any website, your IP address and similar details reach that company's servers as the party you are connecting to. We neither receive nor can see any of it.

Update check in the plug-ins

When you open a SORYNO plug-in window, it checks once whether a newer version has been released. No sign-up is involved.

• What it fetches is a single small file hosted on GitHub (latest.json)
• The check sends no information about your computer or your plug-in. After the file arrives, the version comparison happens entirely on your own machine
• That file contains the entries for every product at once, so it does not reveal which product you are using either
• If you are offline, or the check fails, it ends silently and shows nothing
• For the same reason as above, your IP address reaches GitHub, Inc. (United States) as the party being connected to. We do not receive it

Note: this check can be switched off. Right-click the plug-in window and clear "Check for updates". It takes effect the next time the plug-in is opened (version 1.0.1 and later).

When you write to us

If you contact us, we necessarily hold your email address and the content of your message. This is the only situation in which we receive personal information at present.

Our contact mailbox is a Google LLC (United States) service, so messages sent to and from it are stored on that company's servers. Our contact address is published, and it is your own decision to write to it.

Product distribution (BOOTH)

Downloads and purchases are handled by BOOTH, operated by pixiv Inc. Information you register with BOOTH is controlled by pixiv Inc. and governed by their privacy policy. Payment details such as card numbers never reach us.

We can view order information through the BOOTH seller dashboard. Paid (Pro) versions went on sale on 3 September 2026, so order records now exist. We see only the order information BOOTH shows us; it does not include card numbers or other payment details.

3. Purpose of use

An email address, name or message content received through an enquiry is used only for the following purposes.

• Replying to the enquiry you sent
• Investigating a defect you reported, and telling you the outcome
• Responding to requests for disclosure, correction or deletion

We use it for nothing else. We will never contact you for promotional purposes. Should the purpose change, we will notify the individuals concerned of the revised purpose.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your prior consent, except where permitted by law — for instance where required by statute, or where disclosure is necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and obtaining consent is difficult.

We never sell an email address as part of a list, nor lend it out for another company's promotions.

5. External services we rely on

We use the external services below. None of them is a service we use in order to hand over personal information. Information reaches them because they are the party at the other end of the connection.

The United States is not among the foreign countries designated under Article 28(1) of the Act as having a personal information protection system equivalent to Japan's. Of the above, we provide no personal information to GitHub, Inc.; information reaches it only as the party being connected to. As for Google LLC, messages arrive because you chose to write to our published address.

Note: if we change any of these services, we will update this page.

6. Retention period

Enquiry messages are deleted roughly one year after the exchange ends. Where a defect report is needed for later fixes, we may keep a record of it with anything identifying the individual removed.

If you would like your message deleted sooner, just ask at the contact point below. No explanation is required.

7. Security measures

• Only one person — the proprietor — handles personal information, and access is limited accordingly
• More fundamentally, we operate no mechanism for collecting personal information
• The mailbox is accessed with a hard-to-guess password and two-factor authentication
• We do not copy enquiry contents onto working machines for storage
• All communication with external services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS)
• Personal information that is no longer needed is deleted promptly

8. Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion or suspension of use

You may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision of the retained personal data we hold about you.

Please contact us by email at the address below. After confirming your identity we will respond without delay. No fee is charged.

If we cannot fulfil all or part of a request, we will tell you and explain why.

9. Contact and complaints

Comments and complaints about how we handle personal information are received at the same address.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy in response to changes in law or in our practices. Any change takes effect when posted on this page.
